Job summary

Energy Drive Systems is seeking an Energy Solutions Engineer to identify, develop, and deliver industrial energy efficiency opportunities across North America.

You will work with commercial, engineering, and project delivery teams to assess customer systems, develop technical solutions, and support projects from early opportunity stages through handover. Strong remote-work capability and travel across NA are expected.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering preferred (or Mechanical Engineering).
• 5–10+ years in heavy industrial environments.
• Strong knowledge of medium voltage motors, VFDs, pumps, fans and rotating equipment.
• Experience developing technical solutions for industrial applications.
• Experience with energy modelling or system performance analysis.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently within a remote environment.
• Willingness to travel across North America.

Responsibilities

• Investigate energy efficiency opportunities through site visits and assessments.
• Evaluate electrical systems, motor applications and industrial processes.
• Develop energy models and performance calculations.
• Design solutions involving MV motors, VFDs, pumps, fans and control systems.
• Support the preparation of technical proposals and client presentations.
• Collaborate with commercial teams to develop opportunities and convert projects.
• Coordinate with Project Engineering and Maintenance for delivery.
• Build long-term relationships with customer engineering teams as a trusted advisor.
• Provide technical support throughout the project lifecycle.
