Job summary

Mortenson Construction is seeking a Supplier Quality Manager for Energy and Infrastructure to implement and continuously improve the company’s SQMS. The role partners with Supply Chain, Engineering, Operations, Estimating, Quality, project teams, and suppliers to apply risk-based quality controls from supplier selection through manufacture, testing, shipment, and nonconformance resolution.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in supplier quality or related quality roles.
• Experience auditing manufacturing facilities and evaluating quality systems.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 principles and auditing techniques.
• Ability to interpret drawings, specs, and quality records.
• Strong implementation, project management, and communication skills.
• Ability to work across multiple Operating Groups and learn electrical/industrial equipment.
• Valid driver license and willingness to travel up to 50%, incl. international.
• ISO 9001 Lead Auditor or similar credential is a plus.
• Experience implementing SQMS, ITPs, FATs, source inspections, and SCAR/CAPA.

Responsibilities

• Implement and continuously improve the SQMS across projects and suppliers.
• Develop and execute risk-based supplier audits and qualification activities.
• Develop Supplier Quality Plans and ITPs; establish review and release points.
• Coordinate FAT activities, inspections, and documentation reviews.
• Lead or support supplier containment, SCARs, and corrective actions.
• Foster cross-functional collaboration and clear communication of quality risks.
