Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required.
• Master’s degree in Taxation preferred.
• CPA highly preferred.
• Recent experience in a public accounting firm.
• 6+ years of federal tax consulting or compliance experience.
• Experience with corporate and international returns.
• Exposure to pass-through and some individual returns.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Computer expertise with tax software and related technology.
• Experience managing a team.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional client service while developing and implementing tax strategies to reduce liabilities and achieve business goals.
• Lead and mentor a team of tax professionals, delegating work, guiding, and overseeing quality of deliverables.
• Develop and execute planning strategies by staying current on tax law changes and opportunities.
• Advise clients on tax matters including planning, M&A, and corporate restructuring.
• Conduct tax research to monitor regulatory changes and identify planning opportunities.
• Prepare and review complex tax returns ensuring compliance with laws and regulations.
• Serve as trusted advisor to clients and liaise with tax authorities and regulators.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships and high service satisfaction.
• Train and support development of team members to foster growth.
