Job summary

Bailes Consulting Services is seeking an experienced Employment Specialist in Broward County as a fee-for-service, commission-based independent contractor. The role focuses on assisting individuals with disabilities within Vocational Rehabilitation settings to secure meaningful, competitive employment.

Responsibilities include job search support, resume/interview prep, employer outreach, on-site coaching, and ensuring compliance with ADA and industry standards.

Qualifications

• Four years of proven public VR/workforce development experience serving individuals with disabilities.
• Master's degree in rehabilitation, counseling, social work, psychology, or related fields with 1 year relevant experience.
• Bachelor's degree in related fields with 2 years relevant experience.
• Associate's degree plus 3 years relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist participants with job search activities and applications.
• Identify strengths and career goals with participants.
• Develop relationships with local employers to create opportunities.
• Provide job coaching, on-site support, and follow-up services.
• Document progress and maintain records per standards.
• Educate employers on disability inclusion and ADA compliance.
• Support employers and participants to foster positive relationships.
• Collaborate with VR counselors and partners to ensure quality service.
