Job summary

Ogletree Deakins, a leading labor and employment law firm, seeks an experienced litigator for a flexible Indianapolis-based role. The position focuses on defending employers in employment lawsuits with a lighter billable hours target while preserving a full-cycle litigation practice.

You will develop defense strategies, draft pleadings, manage discovery and motions, and may depose, argue motions, or participate in mediations or trials as needed.

Qualifications

• Active license to practice law in the state of residence and CA.
• Minimum 5+ years of employment litigation experience.
• Strong analytical and writing skills; client-service mindset.
• Self-motivated with ability to work remotely and collaborate with teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop defense strategy for employer defendants in employment litigation.
• Perform legal research and draft pleadings.
• Manage discovery and motion practice, draft dispositive motions.
• Occasionally depose, argue motions, and participate in mediation or trial as needed.
