Job summary

Keystone Distinction Group is seeking an Associate Attorney / Of Counsel to join its Employment Litigation Practice Group. This remote role offers responsibility handling sophisticated employment matters for employers across various industries, with the flexibility of a fully remote position.

Candidates should have a JD from a top-tier law school, California bar admission in good standing, and at least 4 years of substantive California employment litigation experience.

Qualifications

• JD from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic record.
• Active Bar Admission in California, in good standing.
• 4+ years of substantive California employment litigation experience.
• Of Counsel candidates: 9+ years of relevant California employment litigation experience and demonstrated first-chair capabilities.
• Experience defending employers in discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage/hour and related claims.
• Experience representing employers in court proceedings, arbitrations, mediations, and administrative agency matters.
• Class Action and/or PAGA experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of California and federal employment laws and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Defend employers in a broad range of employment litigation matters and agency proceedings.
• Handle all aspects of litigation, including strategy, pleadings, discovery, depositions, motions, mediations, arbitrations, and trial prep.
• Represent employers before state and federal administrative agencies.
• Advise and counsel employers on employment law compliance and workplace issues.
• Conduct management training on employment and labor law topics.
• Handle matters involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour disputes, torts, and class or representative actions.
• Collaborate with attorneys across offices to provide strategic, business-oriented legal counsel.
