Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
• Licensed to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• 2+ years of employment law experience in a law firm, corporate legal department, or both.
• Knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations.
• Strong legal research, analytical, drafting, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to provide practical, business-focused legal advice.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
• Flexibility in daily work schedule to meet company/client needs during heavy workloads.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice on employment-related matters, including performance management, disciplinary actions, workplace conduct, accommodations, leaves, complaints, terminations, and severance arrangements.
• Conduct legal research on federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, including wage/hour, leave, accommodations, pay transparency, and restrictive covenants.
• Draft, review, and revise employment agreements, offer letters, retention, separation, and noncompete documents.
• Assist with internal investigations, witness interviews, fact gathering, and findings.
• Review restrictive covenant agreements and advise on recruiting, onboarding, transitions, departures, and acquisitions.
• Assist with restrictive covenant enforcement, including correspondence and coordination with outside counsel.
• Support litigation holds, discovery responses, agency charges, and employment-related disputes.
• Develop and update employment policies and handbook provisions.
