Cognizant is seeking an Emergency Department Coder to ensure accurate and compliant medical coding across outpatient settings. You will collaborate with physicians and staff to obtain clarifications and use encoder tools to assign ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes.

The role emphasizes maintaining a 98% accuracy rate while meeting productivity standards in a fully remote setting with a strong focus on regulatory compliance and revenue cycle excellence.

Formación

• Certified coding credentials required (CPC/CCS).
• Experience coding outpatient, observation, ED and diagnostic encounters.
• Maintain minimum 98% coding accuracy and meet productivity standards.

Responsabilidades

• Review clinical documentation and assign diagnosis and procedure codes for outpatient and ED encounters.
• Collaborate with physicians and staff to obtain clarifications via coding queries.
• Maintain high accuracy and support regulatory compliance and revenue cycle processes.
