Job summary

Eagle Wireless in Minneapolis, MN, is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer for the Smart module. You will develop and maintain Android/Linux BSP components and tackle kernel-level issues, device tree, GPIO, and driver customization.

Collaborate with hardware, firmware, and testing teams to bring up LCD, camera, sensors, and interfaces. Fluent English and strong C skills are essential; remote work options are available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field.
• 3+ years Android/Linux BSP experience is preferred; 5+ years is a strong advantage.
• Strong C programming skills and Linux kernel familiarity.
• Fluent English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, customize, and debug Android/Linux BSP components for SMART module platforms.
• Address Linux kernel-level issues, including Device Tree, GPIO, pin control, and driver customization.
• Support bring-up and integration of LCD, Touch Panel, Camera, Sensors, Charger, Audio, UART, I2C, SPI, and GPIO interfaces.
• Analyze customer requirements and provide technical solutions for platform customization and hardware integration.
• Debug issues using ADB, fastboot, QFIL, serial console, kernel logs, Android logs, and diagnostic interfaces.
