Job summary

King Technology is seeking an Embedded Systems Engineer to advance firmware and cloud telemetry for our Minnesota-based products. You will bridge hardware and software, developing firmware for ARM Cortex-M/ESP32 and supporting data visibility through dashboards.

Ideal candidates have strong C/C++ embedded experience, RTOS or bare-metal development, sensor integration, BLE/Wi‑Fi/LoRa, and hands-on debugging with oscilloscopes and JTAG/SWD. Hybrid work from Minnetonka, MN is supported.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related field.
• 2–8 years of professional embedded systems/firmware experience.
• Professional experience in C/C++ embedded software development.
• Experience with I2C, SPI, UART communications.
• Experience with hardware debugging tools (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, JTAG/SWD).
• Wireless protocols such as BLE, Wi-Fi, LoRa preferred.
• Experience supporting connected devices, telemetry systems, or IoT preferred.

Responsibilities

• Firmware development for ARM Cortex-M/ESP32 or similar platforms.
• Develop RTOS-based or bare-metal embedded applications.
• Interface sensors via I2C, SPI, UART.
• Implement BLE, Wi‑Fi, LoRa wireless connectivity.
• Debug hardware and firmware with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, JTAG/SWD.
• Support device-to-cloud communication and telemetry reporting.
• Develop and maintain internal/customer dashboards for product reporting.
• Own deployed firmware systems and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
