Job summary
Canonical is seeking a technical engineering manager to redefine the embedded Linux experience for IoT. You will lead a distributed team of engineers, drive roadmaps, and mentor talent in an async-first, fully remote environment.
You will coordinate with stakeholders, champion agile practices, and shape Ubuntu Core across ARM, RISC-V, and x86 platforms while enabling secure, reliable system software and fostering a strong engineering culture.
Qualifications
- Embedded software development experience.
- Proficiency in Golang, C++, and Shell scripting.
- Strong Linux knowledge, prefer Ubuntu/Debian.
- Experience mentoring and growing engineers.
- Proven ability to deliver high-quality software with agility.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
