Job summary

Inova Health System in Fairfax, VA is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) Virtual Acute Care to join the team. This full-time role is 36 hours per week with a rotating schedule and four weekend shifts every six weeks.

After 6 months, eligible for one remote day per week if in good standing and per policy. A sign-on bonus and relocation assistance are available; flexible scheduling supports work life balance and cross-unit coverage.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or Associate's Degree. If Associate's Degree, BSN plan required within 5 years.
• Experience: 1 year as RN in critical care or 1 year in a critical care setting or completion of a critical care fellowship.
• Certification: BLS; ACLS within 6 months of hire (PALS for pediatric units); Virginia RN license or eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Performs comprehensive patient health assessments and interprets data sets.
• Formulates care plans and coordinates services for patient/family transition planning.
• Documents patient care activities per standards and assists team with documentation.
• Evaluates processes to achieve outcomes and revises plans as needed.
• Promotes clinical decision making among team members and maintains education records.
• May perform additional duties as assigned.
