Job summary

Consor is seeking a stormwater engineer in Utah to develop hydraulic and hydrology studies, drainage reports, and design plans for municipal stormwater projects. You will prepare technical writing documents and assist in project management, collaborating with roadway and geotechnical teams to deliver robust stormwater solutions.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of stormwater, H&H, and drainage experience.
  • Proficiency in OpenRoads, Civil3D or AutoCAD (Consor will train engineers w/o OpenRoads experience).
  • HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, SWMM, StormCAD and similar software experience (a plus)
  • Perform floodplain mapping and analysis for FEMA and local agencies.
  • Bachelor of Science in Construction Management, Civil, Environmental or a related engineering discipline.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License

Responsibilities

  • Review project design and reports and assist with project management and scheduling for stormwater projects
  • Perform H&H analysis calculations using governing codes and standards, engineering formulas, skills, and experience
  • Prepare construction plans and specifications as well as technical memorandums and reports
  • Develop Probable construction cost estimates for projects
  • Observe construction and coordinate with contractors
  • Coordinate work with other disciplines such as roadway, geotechnical, structures, etc.
  • Perform stormwater management and drainage studies, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Mentor junior staff and Designers
