Job summary

UCLA Health's UCLA Simulation Center is seeking a Simulation Operations Specialist to plan and support educational and research activities. You will set up high-fidelity simulations, maintain AV and lab equipment, coordinate training across learner groups, and assist with research data collection.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with diverse stakeholders.
• Experience with MS Office and learning new software including AV equipment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate lab equipment.
• Knowledge of AV equipment and basic wiring support.
• Adaptability in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities.
• Organizational and time management skills to manage multiple projects.
• Ability to work in a team and independently; problem-solve and maintain confidentiality.
• Willingness to work evenings and weekends; occasional overtime.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and support simulation sessions using high-fidelity simulators and clinical equipment.
• Coordinate and facilitate educational activities across learner groups and disciplines.
• Maintain and troubleshoot simulation, AV, and related equipment; preventive maintenance.
• Develop and implement simulation-based tools and instructional solutions.
• Support simulation-related research projects and data collection.
• Provide daily operational support for the UCLA Simulation Center.
• Represent the UCLA Simulation Center with faculty, staff, students, and the public.
