Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking an experienced Simulation Operations Specialist Lead to provide advanced technical and operational support for simulation-based education. The role leads a team of specialists and coordinates daily operations across sites, ensuring high-quality simulation experiences aligned with organizational goals.

The position requires a strong background in simulation education, proficiency with AV systems and simulation software, and excellent leadership and communication

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (healthcare, biomedical engineering, education, or technology).
• Associate degree with a minimum of three years of relevant simulation or technical experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in simulation operations or related technical fields.
• Demonstrated experience in simulation-based education or healthcare simulation.
• Proficiency in audio/visual systems and simulation software.
• Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead onboarding and ongoing development of Simulation Operations Specialists, Technicians, and other simulation users.
• Provide advanced technical support for simulation operations, including setup, maintenance, and repair of simulators and multimedia equipment.
• Oversee programming and testing of simulation scenarios to ensure fidelity and realism.
• Coordinate daily operations and oversee scheduling across multiple sites or departments.
• Stay current with emerging simulation technologies and best practices.
