Job summary

Empower AI is seeking a seasoned ServiceNow Developer to lead application development on the ITSM platform for a Department of War agency. This hybrid role is based in Quantico, VA (RKB) with remote eligibility and up to 10% travel.

A Secret clearance is required, with Top Secret eligibility later, and a strong background in ServiceNow scripting, CMDB, and Agile delivery. You will design, test, and maintain custom applications, workflows, and the Service Catalog, while ensuring secure coding

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 10+ years related experience (or 8 years with Master's).
• US citizenship required.
• Active Secret Clearance (T3/T3R) to start; Top Secret eligible after start.
• Minimum 10 years software development experience; 5+ years on ServiceNow or equivalent.
• Expert proficiency in ServiceNow scripting, Flow Designer, IntegrationHub, Service Catalog, Service Portal, and CMDB.
• Experience with REST/SOAP APIs, LDAP/Active Directory.
• Experience delivering in Agile; platform-owner deployment model.
• Secure coding standards and Federal security requirements.
• Mentoring developers and producing technical design documents.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain custom ServiceNow applications and workflows.
• Implement and sustain enterprise ticket lifecycle workflows across incident and request management.
• Develop and maintain Service Catalog and CMDB data quality through discovery and integrations.
• Lead sprint planning, backlog refinement, QA, and stakeholder demonstrations.
• Adhere to security guidelines; deliver compliant update sets to the Government owner.
• Participate in Problem, Change, and Release Management processes.
• Collaborate with UX Designer, Automation Engineer, Data/BI Developer, and Knowledge Management teams.
• Mentor junior developers and maintain design documentation.
