Job summary
ENERCON is seeking a Principal Power System Studies Engineer to lead complex electrical studies, mentor junior engineers, and drive high-quality design across large-scale projects. This role supports diverse clients in nuclear, federal, and energy sectors.
The candidate will guide technically, ensure compliance with IEEE/IEC/NEC/NERC standards, and contribute to business growth while advancing their leadership and technical expertise within a dynamic team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from ABET-accredited university.
- MS in Electrical Engineering preferred.
- Active PE license or commitment to obtain soon.
- 10+ years of experience performing electrical studies.
- Experience with IEEE/IEC/NEC/NERC standards.
- Experience with load flow, short circuit, arc flash analyses.
- Experience with power system software ETAP/SKM/EMTP/PSCAD.
- Scripting in Python/VBA/C++ or similar.
- Ability to lead and mentor junior engineers.
Responsibilities
- Design and review complex power systems ensuring technical quality.
- Provide mentorship to junior engineers and oversee technical work.
- Maintain quality, schedule, and budget for tasks with minimal supervision.
- Lead project execution and contribute to cross-functional teams.
