Job summary

Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) in California seeks an Interdisciplinary Engineer to help advance seismic risk reduction through the National Earthquake Hazards Reduction Program (NEHRP) for both new and existing buildings and critical lifelines.

You will contribute subject matter expertise on NEHRP guidance, collaborate with FEMA components and external partners, and push innovative building-code applications to reduce earthquake risk and other natural hazards.

  • Coordinate with FEMA components, interagency partners, and external stakeholders to advance seismic risk reduction.
  • Advance innovative approaches to applying building codes and standards to reduce earthquake and other hazards.
