Job summary

Washington Equipment Manufacturing Company, Inc (WEMCO) is seeking a Project Manager/Estimator to develop accurate estimates and manage projects from inquiry to delivery. You will coordinate engineering, purchasing, manufacturing, and field operations to meet safety, schedule, budget, and quality goals.

The role requires reviewing drawings, preparing cost estimates for labor, materials, subcontractors, and installation, and communicating with customers and vendors. Occasional travel is involved.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related field is preferred, or equivalent experience.
• Experience in estimating, project management, manufacturing, heavy equipment, or overhead cranes preferred.
• Willingness to train strong candidates with mechanical aptitude and coordination skills.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, and fabrication documents.

Responsibilities

• Review drawings, specs, RFQs, and project requirements to prepare cost estimates.
• Develop pricing strategies while maintaining profitability and competitiveness.
• Coordinate schedules, budgets, and internal resources for project success.
• Track project performance and provide regular status updates to management.
• Communicate with customers and suppliers throughout the project lifecycle.
