Job summary

First Citizens Bank seeks an AppSec Pentest Manager to lead a team of penetration testers within the AppSec Testing Program. You’ll partner with development and IT teams, applying OWASP Top 10, PETS, and CREST methodologies to identify and report complex vulnerabilities in First Citizens Bank’s custom apps.

The role supports a remote-eligible work arrangement and requires strong leadership, strategy, and communication skills to drive risk-based testing and remediation across multiple projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 8+ years in information security or technology, or high school diploma with 12+ years of experience.
• Preferred certifications: CISSP, CISM, GPEN, GWAPT, OSCP, OSWA.
• Experience leading AppSec testing teams and reporting to senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute penetration testing strategy aligned with SDLC and risk appetite.
• Coordinate multiple teams to schedule and cadence of tests; adapt to urgent needs.
• Manage staff performance, training, and development; oversee vendor management.
