Job summary

INSPYR Solutions in Houston, TX is seeking a Network Security Engineer to design, implement, and maintain secure network environments with a hands-on security focus. You will bridge traditional networking with modern security solutions while collaborating across teams.

The ideal candidate has deep experience with Palo Alto firewalls, Panorama, ZIA/ZPA, and policy-based security, plus strong incident response and scripting skills.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in BGP, Cisco Routing/Switching, and WAN technologies.
• 3+ years of Palo Alto Firewalls and Panorama.
• Experience managing large-scale firewall environments.
• US Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and configure Palo Alto NGFWs and Panorama for centralized security management.
• Implement and monitor ZIA and ZPA to secure user traffic and enhance network security.
• Configure security policies including App-ID and User-ID to ensure network integrity.
• Manage complex enterprise networks with BGP routing and Cisco routers/switches.
• Administer Cisco ISE for network access control and identity management.
• Lead incident response with deep analysis and containment actions.
• Automate routine firewall changes and security checks with scripting.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for compliance and knowledge sharing.
• Stay updated with security trends and best practices to foster a proactive security culture.
