Job summary

U.S. Bank is seeking a Mortgage Loan Officer to originate mortgage loans in an assigned metropolitan territory. The role involves taking applications, conducting initial underwriting reviews, and submitting files for processing and approval.

A significant portion of duties involves away-from-bank sales and driving client engagements in the field. Candidates should have at least 2 years of mortgage, sales, or real estate experience, with NMLS registration and a high school degree.

Qualifications

• NMLS registration required and a clean criminal/credit record
• High school degree or equivalent
• 2+ years of Mortgage, Sales, or Real Estate experience

Responsibilities

• Originate mortgage loans in assigned metropolitan territory.
• Take applications and conduct preliminary underwriting reviews.
• Submit loan applications to processing and underwriting for approval
• Follow up to secure documents for processing, underwriting, and closing
• Spend at least 50% of time conducting activities away from U.S. Bank locations
