Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: At least six months of relevant experience and/or training.
• Read and understand medical documents, including medical bills and claim data fields.
• Ability to calculate figures (discounts, percentages, sums).
• Attention to detail and strong communication skills.
• Team player and results oriented.

Responsibilities

• Initiates the bill review process and identifies data from claim information.
• Reviews medical bills and reports for accuracy and completeness.
• Enforces jurisdictional regulatory billing standards and company standards.
• Examines bills for legibility and ensures documentation accuracy.
• Issues correspondence to billing entities per standards.
• Communicates issues to Medical Bill Review Supervisor.
• Ensures work follows company standards and training.
• Provides administrative support as directed.
• Collaborates with Adjusting staff, Medical Management, and Client Services.
