Job summary

St. Joseph School District seeks a temporary Law and Public Safety Instructor at Hillyard Technical Center for the October–May period.

Qualifications

• Possession of, or ability to earn, a valid Career Education Criminal Justice certification.
• Bachelor's degree plus 4000 hours of related DESE-approved experience within last 10 years; or
• Associate degree plus 5000 hours of related DESE-approved experience within last 10 years; or
• Verification of at least 6,000 hours related occupational experience within last 10 years.

Responsibilities

• Attend work regularly, reliably, and punctually.
• Telework when requested by the District with approval.
• Collaborate with Advisory Committee and industry partners to keep curriculum current.
• Maintain program certification and safe classroom/shop environments.
• Prepare for class with effective instructional strategies and maintain a positive classroom environment.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, academics, discipline, and communications.
• Participate in required meetings and after-school activities as needed.
• Support Career and Technical Student Organization memberships and participation.
