Qualifications

• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with Special Education endorsement (LBS1).
• Experience teaching at the high school level.
• Background in secondary curriculum design, teacher leadership, and data-driven instruction.
• Strong verbal and written communication with students, families, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver differentiated instruction aligned with state standards and individual student goals.
• Maintain accurate attendance, progress data, and grade reporting; conduct assessments and adjust instruction accordingly.
• Attend student-related meetings, parent–teacher conferences, and communicate with families.
• Collaborate with department chairs, instructional coaches, and student services staff.
• Lead ongoing development, assessment, and revision of the 9 through 12 Advisory curriculum in alignment with district goals.
• Organize and disseminate Advisory lesson plans, quick-start guides, and materials across district platforms.
• Train and support classroom advisors and building administrators.
• Assist in recruiting, training, and supporting upper-class student mentors for freshmen/sophomores.
• Partner with Student Services and the Director of Careers to integrate the Postsecondary Workbook into the curriculum.
• Establish data collection routines to evaluate program effectiveness and drive improvements.
• Attend monthly leadership meetings to ensure cross-campus alignment across district schools.
