TransAlta Corporation is seeking a Manager, Land Acquisitions to lead strategic land strategies for energy projects across Canada and the United States. You will manage land rights, title risk, and negotiations, while coordinating with Origination, Development, M&A, Legal, and senior leadership.

The role emphasizes expert risk assessment, stakeholder engagement, and strong contract management. A remote work arrangement is possible, with a preference for candidates in the Western United States,

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and 10+ years of land acquisition experience.
• Experience securing land rights for utility-scale energy projects.
• Strong understanding of title systems and due diligence processes.
• Ability to lead negotiations and manage complex commercial transactions.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and execute strategic land acquisition plans for energy projects across North America.
• Lead negotiations for land rights, leases, easements, and related agreements.
• Oversee title, due diligence, and risk management related to land ownership and access.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with landowners, government representatives, and stakeholders.
• Lead and develop the land team, manage external providers, and standardize processes.
• Evaluate land economics, budgets, and acquisition options to guide decisions.
