Job summary

The Minnesota Department of Human Services seeks a Financial Systems Specialist to lead configuration of the Office of Inspector General's financial systems, data architecture, and automated reporting. You will guide chart of accounts design, budget accounting, and dashboard development using Power Apps and related tools.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in financial systems administration and defining data standards.
• Develop and maintain standardized financial reports and/or dashboards or automated reporting and workflow tools, including Power Apps, Power Automate and related platform tools.
• Conduct analysis of financial systems, data workflows, and/or reporting processes to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement.
• Administer systems budget accounting.

Responsibilities

• Independently designs, builds, maintains and validates the financial systems structures, data standards and reporting capabilities underpinning OIG's financial operations.
• Ensures that OIG's financial systems are audit-ready and aligned with GASB/MMB standards.
• Provides expert technical guidance to Division Systems Staff across OIG.
• Informs leadership on financial systems matters for decision-making and long-range planning.
