Job summary

National General, part of The Allstate family, seeks an experienced Field Property Adjuster to handle homeowners claims in Connecticut from intake to settlement. You will assess damage, determine coverage, negotiate settlements, and manage supplements, ALE, contents, and full claim ownership while delivering clear communication to customers.

The role emphasizes field and desk experience, proficiency in Xactimate, and an active adjuster license or reciprocity.

Responsibilities

• Exhibits mastery estimating fundamentals to create estimates of damages on the most complex 1st party homeowner losses of all severities
• Builds mastered relationships with both internal and external customers
• Interprets regulatory compliance and fair claims practices
• Negotiates settlements, makes settlement payments and documents all activities in the most complex of files
• Applies mastered content in interpretations of all policy types written by the company and assists leadership in formal and ad hoc training
• Recommends process improvements
