Job summary
LyondellBasell Channelview is seeking a Specialist, Control Systems (Software) to support DCS regulatory controls, APC, alarm management, and IP21 tag maintenance. You will collaborate with Operations, engineers, and technologists to resolve control system issues and drive performance improvements.
Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, 20 years in control systems, experience with Emerson DeltaV, Honeywell TPS/Experion, or similar, and strong leadership and communication skills.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Typically 20 years of industry experience in a control systems or automation engineering role.
- Practical experience with DCS and SIS configurations and programming.
- Experience with leading, coaching, and developing teams.
Responsibilities
- Act as liaison between Operations and Process Control to resolve control system issues.
- Monitor KPIs related to alarm management and loop performance; address issues.
- Provide technical support during unit turnarounds, startups, and siting projects.
- Lead alarm rationalization and MOC evaluations.
- Collaborate with Operations to meet site performance goals.
