Job summary

Scallon Controls, Inc. in Beaumont, TX is seeking a Control Systems Specialist Engineer to support and maintain industrial control systems across multiple industries.

The role requires local travel within SETX and no overnight travel, with hands-on responsibilities for design, installation, troubleshooting, and commissioning. You will configure DeltaV DCS/PLC systems, troubleshoot hardware/software, and collaborate with project teams on new systems while providing exceptional customer support.

Qualifications

• 5 yrs experience in controls systems automation.
• Familiarity with DCS/PLC and industrial protocols OPC Modbus Ethernet/IP.
• Strong problem solving, troubleshooting, communication and documentation skills.
• Demonstrated ability to learn and teach yourself new skills/tech.
• Ability to travel extensively locally and lift up to 60 lbs.
• Leadership or supervisory experience in some capacity.
• Experience with DeltaV strongly preferred.
• Experience with control system programming and system integration.

Responsibilities

• Lead or support testing, field cabinet checkout and commissioning.
• Provide on-site and remote customer support and troubleshooting.

• Collaborate with project teams on building, integrating and commissioning new systems.
• Assist with FEED activities such as site walkdowns, design and sales activities.

• Provide on site and remote customer support and troubleshooting

• Occasionally assist with FEED activities such as site walkdowns design and sales activities
