Job summary

The Georgia Department of Human Services, Division of Family & Children Services, is seeking a Child Welfare Services Case Manager 1 in Alma, GA. Under supervision, you will provide investigative and comprehensive case management for caseloads involving child and/or adult maltreatment.

You will develop safety plans, search for involved families, and collaborate with partners to support children and families while aiming for permanency and safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• Must pass standard agency testing protocol for the position.
• Background checks and pre-employment screenings may be required.

Responsibilities

• Initiates timely, face-to-face responses to screened-in reports of alleged child maltreatment and conducts assessments.
• Develops and implements safety plans to address identified safety concerns.
• Collaborates with community partners to create systems of support for children and families.
• Maintains visits to ensure safety, permanency, and well-being of children in care.
