CCR&R of Southeast Iowa is seeking a full-time Professional Development Specialist to plan and promote trainings for child care providers. Remote eligibility and a focus on bilingual candidates are noted.

The role emphasizes coordinating training calendars, identifying trainers, and assessing needs within the region. Minimum education includes a Bachelor’s in Early Childhood or Elementary Education with EC Endorsement, or a Bachelor’s in Child and Family Services.

Qualifications

• Minimum educational qualifications include a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood, or a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education with an Early Childhood Endorsement, or a Bachelor’s Degree in Child and Family Services.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate provider training and prepare a training calendar.
• Identify trainers and participants for region training opportunities.
• Assess provider training needs and develop a training plan.
• Maintain provider training records using statewide evaluation tools and attendance logs.
