Job summary

Mathnasium is seeking an awesome Virtual Math Instructor / Tutor to create an engaging learning experience for students in elementary school. This part-time role offers set hours in a remote platform and the chance to contribute to the community.

Applicants must take a math literacy test, pass a background check, and complete training in the Mathnasium Method. Hours include 3:15-4:45pm Mon & Thu, with additional slots 5-7pm Tue-Thu and Sat 10am-12pm; top students and educators are encouraged to

Qualifications

• A passion for math and working with students.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Solid math competency.
• Ability to balance various ongoing tasks.
• Willingness to learn and be trained.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional instruction/ tutoring services to students.
• Teach virtually using the Mathnasium Method™, terminology, and teaching practices which include individualized instruction in a group setting.
• Work collaboratively with team members to deliver the best possible experience for students.
• Evaluate, grade, and correct student work.
• Support kids to grow in skills and confidence, in every tutoring session.
