Job summary

Cummins Inc. seeks an experienced engineer to investigate complex electronic application and systems problems, develop and apply DVP&R, modeling, simulation, calibration, and cross-functional coordination to deliver calibrated builds to product teams.

You will specify hardware interconnections for mechatronics systems and ensure performance, reliability, and cost; work across BU/teams; relocation assistance is available. Remote work is supported at various U.S. sites.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Automotive or Computer Engineering.
• Alternatively, Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of experience in electronics/system engineering.
• Experience with electronic applications and systems development tools; DVP&R; systems design and calibration.

Responsibilities

• Investigate highly difficult electronic application and systems problems.
• Create, manage, and apply development processes including DVP&R and calibration.
• Collaborate with product/software teams to deliver calibrated builds.
• Translate stakeholder needs into verifiable system requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Apply systems engineering methods to improve reliability, performance, and cost.
