Job summary

Cummins Inc. is seeking an experienced controls engineer to tailor electronic control systems for Cummins products across multiple customer applications. You will decompose product requirements into functional controls, calibrate, and validate integrated hardware/software systems.

You will contribute to development, validation, and documentation of open/closed loop controls and diagnostics, coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure robust, reusable designs and effective problem solving.

Qualifications

• Lead control system development for PPT projects with coordination of project plans and resources.
• Expertise in advanced control methodologies, simulation-based development, and verification & validation.
• Excellent coding and simulation skills (MATLAB/Simulink) and understanding of powertrain components.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to development of electronic controls and diagnostics for various applications (engine, power systems).
• Own investigation, problem resolution, and documentation with guidance from senior engineers.
• Improve control development processes and tools including calibration, DVP&R, and troubleshooting.
