Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a VDC Designer, Electrical for a top construction client. This role will create, maintain, and coordinate detailed electrical BIM models, collaborating with architects, engineers, contractors, and MEP teams to ensure clash-free, constructible designs while providing remote support to field operations.

The ideal candidate will have strong Revit expertise, EVOLVE experience, and experience working with LOD 350-400 models.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of VDC/BIM and construction modeling experience.
• 2+ years of Electrical project coordination experience.
• Experience with EVOLVE.
• Proficiency in Revit and the ability to create and manage detailed 3D models.
• Experience with LOD 350-400 Electrical modeling.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain accurate electrical 3D models in Revit
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and project stakeholders
• Perform clash detection using Navisworks and resolve design conflicts
• Collaborate with MEP teams to ensure coordinated and constructible designs
• Provide remote support to field operations and project teams
• Integrate 3D scans and field data into project models
• Prepare and manage technical documentation, drawings, and schedules
• Conduct quality control reviews to ensure model accuracy and compliance
• Support BIM/VDC processes throughout all phases of construction projects
• Utilize BIM360 and other collaboration tools to improve project coordination
• Stay current on emerging BIM and VDC technologies to drive process improvements
