Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a VDC Designer, Electrical to support complex construction projects. You will create, maintain, and coordinate detailed electrical BIM models using Revit, with focus on LOD 350-400 and clash-free designs.

Collaboration with architects, engineers, contractors, and MEP teams will drive constructible results. You will also perform clash detection, integrate field data, and support BIM/VDC processes across project phases, while providing remote support to field operations

Qualifications

2+ years of VDC/BIM and construction modeling experience.
2+ years of Electrical project coordination experience.
Proficiency in Revit with the ability to create and manage detailed 3D models.
Experience with LOD 350 electrical modeling.
Experience with Navisworks.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain accurate electrical 3D models in Revit.
Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and project stakeholders.
Perform clash detection using Navisworks and resolve design conflicts.
Collaborate with MEP teams to ensure coordinated and constructible designs.
Provide remote support to field operations and project teams.
Integrate 3D scans and field data into project models.
Prepare and manage technical documentation, drawings, and schedules.
Conduct quality control reviews to ensure model accuracy and compliance.
Support BIM/VDC processes throughout all phases of construction projects.
Utilize BIM360 and other collaboration tools to improve project coordination.
Stay current on emerging BIM and VDC technologies to drive process improvements.
