Job summary
Barton Malow is seeking an Electrical Estimator to join our Preconstruction department based in Southfield, Michigan. This position can be remote and will support projects company wide, offering opportunities to work on large industrial, commercial, and institutional construction projects.
The role asks for a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering or related field and at least 3 years of design and construction experience.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years of design and construction experience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft programs is essential.
- On-screen take-off and Revit modeling experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of BlueBeam and Accubid is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Perform take-off and pricing for medium voltage and low voltage electrical power systems, lighting, and low voltage systems.
- Review field change orders and assist in answering contractor RFIs to support field operations.
- Support preconstruction bidding for general contracts, design-build, EPC, and CM approaches.
- Provide technical support for issue resolution and tracking across projects.
