Job summary

Boutique Recruiting seeks an Electrical Estimator for a stable contractor in Michigan. This role handles the estimating process, prepares commercial/industrial project bids, and coordinates with project management from bid to handoff.

Ideal candidate has 5–10 years of electrical estimating experience, strong knowledge of electrical systems, and the ability to manage multiple bids with attention to detail in a fast-paced team setting.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of electrical estimating experience in commercial or industrial construction.
• Proven ability to complete detailed quantity takeoffs and comprehensive bid estimates.
• Experience analyzing quotes and negotiating labor and material costs.
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP.

Responsibilities

• Manage the complete electrical estimating process from initial bid review through final submission.
• Prepare detailed, accurate estimates for commercial and industrial construction projects.
• Complete quantity takeoffs and calculate labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
• Review project plans, specifications, drawings, and scope requirements.
• Solicit, analyze, and compare vendor and subcontractor quotes.
• Negotiate material pricing, labor costs, and bid terms.
• Develop competitive bids while protecting project profitability.
• Manage multiple active estimates simultaneously, often across projects with deadlines.
