Job summary

Wilson Engineers in Tempe, AZ is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer (PE) to join our office. The role can be remote and involves leading electrical and control system design for water and wastewater projects.

Required are a 3+ year track record in electrical/industrial controls engineering, AutoCAD EI&C drawing packages, NFPA 70/70E knowledge, and strong communication skills. Arizona PE license preferred; experience with SKM is a plus.

Qualifications

Undergraduate degree in electrical engineering from accredited university or college.
A Professional Engineer (P.E.) license is required – preferably in Arizona.
Minimum of three (3) years electrical and industrial controls engineering experience in Water/Wastewater industry.
Minimum of three (3) years of experience producing EI&C contract drawing packages in AutoCAD.
Thorough understanding of NFPA 70 Electrical Code and NFPA 70E.
Proficient with Microsoft Office suite; AutoCAD experience essential.
Experience reading P&IDs and control descriptions is a plus.

Responsibilities

Design low and medium voltage power distribution systems with single-line diagrams and panel schedules.
Prepare circuit load summaries, conduit sizing, voltage drop, and fault current calculations.
Lead, review, and interpret power system studies and arc flash studies.
Review construction shop drawings and RFIs; support start-up and commissioning.
Collaborate in a team environment with engineers and designers on EI&C projects.
