Job summary

NEI Electric Power Engineering is seeking an Electrical Engineer in the Solar Engineering group. You will perform design and analysis under a Professional Engineer, coordinating with a team to meet schedules and budgets on PV projects.

This full-time role allows remote or Lakewood, CO, with travel up to 25%. Experience in PV systems, AutoCAD, and power system studies is preferred. FE/PE a plus.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology.
• Experience: 3–6+ years in electrical engineering or field engineering.
• Licensure: FE; PE is a plus.
• Knowledge of medium/low voltage distribution and industrial controls.

Responsibilities

• Performs detailed PV electrical power system design and sizing.
• Prepares one-line and wiring diagrams, BOMs, and reports.
• Reviews equipment data sheets and testing reports for QA.
• Provides field support and trouble-shooting.
• Ensures compliance with codes and safety standards.
• Coordinates with team to meet schedules and budgets.
