Job summary

Atwell, LLC is seeking a mid-level Electrical Engineer for the Oil & Gas group to support North American projects focused on utility distribution, power system studies, and detailed electrical design. You will work with clients, utilities, vendors, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver robust engineering solutions.

The role emphasizes medium/high voltage distribution, substation support, and field deployment with limited supervision and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology (electric power option preferred).
• FE/EIT is preferred; PE licensure is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical engineering and design for industrial, utility, and oil & gas facilities (MV/LV distribution).
• Prepare models and perform power system studies (short circuit, load flow, coordination, arc flash).
• Develop and maintain power system models and report results to clients and teams.
• Support HV/MV projects including distribution upgrades, substations, and protection coordination.
• Produce deliverables: one-line diagrams, schematics, wiring diagrams, specifications, calculations, RFIs.
