Job summary

Belcan Corporation is seeking a remote Electrical Engineer for a 6-month contract with a major aerospace client. The role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering and 3–7 years of relevant experience, with duties spanning harness installation, 3D/2D drawings, and wiring integration.

Travel is limited, and the position offers an hourly rate of $55 and a benefits package. Candidates must be U.S. citizens and able to work with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.

Job description

A remote Electrical Engineering job is currently available through Belcan at one of our key aerospace clients. This is a 6-month contract assignment with the possibility of extension. To be considered for this role, you will have a bachelor"s degree in engineering with 3-7 years of relevant experience.

Job Duties

• Responsible for equipment or wiring installations, including harness routing and mounting solutions within the assigned sector. Knowledge of signal separation requirements and routing best practices.
• Development of 3D models and 2D drawings of pre- and post-production detail parts, assemblies, installations, sub-systems, and integrations for electrical assemblies..
• Support customer in electrical hardware integration and internal wiring from design to production phases.
• Development of wiring diagrams and schematics for aircraft electrical systems.
• Travel 25% or less.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a recognized engineering field from an accredited institution or equivalent work experience.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Experienced with electrical harness design and routing in AutoCAD Electrical.
• Ability to select appropriate cables/wires, circuit protection (fuses, breakers, etc) and EMI design (Shielding requirements, material selection, etc)
• Ability to interpret provided engineering requirements and determine solution paths.
• Ability to work with multi-disciplinary teams, communicate technical information effectively with both internal team and external customers.
• Manage time efficiently, work independently, and produce accurate designs.
• Ability to learn quickly, multitask efficiently, and flexible enough to meet evolving customer prioritization of tasks.
• Experience with aerospace, automotive, or industrial preferred but not required

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

• Analysis skills to be able to identify and quickly resolve/mitigate issues.
• Familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing, ASME Y14.100 drafting standards, SAE AS50881,
• IPC/WHMA-A-620, ITAR trade compliance.
• Familiarity with Capacitor design and selection, current analysis, filter design, and other electrical circuit design concepts.
• Experience with CAD Software UGNX, Creo, Zuken, Inventor, Solidworks etc are also considered.

Compensation

We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering an hourly rate of $55/hr however, Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline.
