Electrical Design Engineer (Temporary Assignment)

Take your engineering career to new heights. We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer for a temporary opportunity supporting the design, testing, and production of advanced electrical and electronic systems used in innovative aerospace and lighter‑than‑air vehicle applications.

In this role, you will work closely with cross‑functional teams to develop and support electrical systems from concept through fabrication, integration, and testing. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys hands‑on design work, problem‑solving, and collaborating in a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design electrical and electronic systems, including power distribution, instrumentation, controls, communications, PLCs, and variable frequency drives
• Create and maintain production‑level engineering documentation
• Support integration, testing, and first article builds
• Conduct design reviews to ensure compliance with customer requirements
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and customer teams
• Provide technical support throughout the product lifecycle
• Travel occasionally to North Carolina facilities as needed

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
• 5+ years of electrical design engineering experience
• Experience with electrical and electronic assemblies in a manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of power distribution and monitoring systems
• Experience with schematic capture software preferred
• Strong communication, presentation, and problem‑solving skills
• Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance
• Aviation or aerospace industry experience preferred
