Job summary

Meade Engineering, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Designer II to support arc flash and power studies for data centers and large facilities. The role involves data collection, drafting, and technical support under engineers’ supervision.

You will build diagrams, run analyses in SKM/ETAP/Easy Power, and draft study exhibits while coordinating with clients, vendors, and internal teams. Strong attention to detail and reliable collaboration are essential for success in this position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field preferred.
• 2+ years as electrical designer/drafter; exposure to arc flash or protective device coordination preferred.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD; Revit and BIM a plus.
• Familiarity with NFPA 70/70E preferred; willingness to learn arc flash and coordination fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Support arc flash and protective device coordination studies for data centers and commercial projects.
• Build and maintain one-line diagrams and system models in power system analysis software.
• Draft arc flash warning labels, equipment schedules, and study exhibits.
• Conduct site visits for data collection and validation of electrical conditions.
• Develop construction documents, diagrams, and technical details for projects.
