Placements24 is seeking a Remote Electrical Design Engineer to design control panels and electrical schematics for industrial automation. You will create wiring diagrams, BOMs, and select PLCs, VFDs, and HMIs while coordinating with mechanical and software teams to deliver integrated automation solutions.

The role emphasizes remote collaboration with clients and project teams, focusing on robust, efficient designs and ongoing innovation in automation technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical design engineering within industrial automation.
• Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD Electrical or EPLAN).
• Strong understanding of PLC programming, industrial networks (e.g., Profibus, Ethernet/IP), and VFD configuration.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical control panels and systems using CAD software based on P&IDs and project specs.
• Develop wiring diagrams, schematics, and BOMs for automated machinery.
• Select electrical components including PLCs, VFDs, HMIs and sensors for reliability.
• Collaborate with mechanical engineers and software developers to integrate designs.
