Caterpillar is seeking a technically skilled engineer to support generator control switchgear systems within the Electric Power Division. You will deliver automation and control solutions for complex power systems, independently and with teams, from concept through commissioning.

The role emphasizes retrofit and new system projects, with opportunities to work cross-functionally with Dealers, Factories, and AES teams, while maintaining strong customer focus and technical excellence.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Experience with automation and controls in power systems.
• Proficient reading of electrical schematics/blueprints.

Mansioni

• Identify retrofit opportunities and support proposal development.
• Design, programming, testing, and commissioning of LV/MV generator control systems.
• Convert legacy PLC programs and validate performance.
• Develop and modify PLC/HMI applications using standard templates.
• Collaborate with CAD to produce wiring/assembly drawings.
• Provide technical support to sales and product support teams.
