Job summary

Caterpillar's Electric Power Division designs, develops, and implements generator control switchgear systems. You will deliver automation and control solutions for complex power systems, working independently and with teams to execute retrofit and new projects from concept through commissioning.

Join a team focused on reliable power, customer-focused service, and hands-on technical excellence across a range of PLC/HMI platforms while traveling up to half the time to support field installations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Experience with automation and controls; PLC/HMI a plus.
• Ability to work across teams and travel up to 50%.

Responsibilities

• Identify retrofit opportunities and support proposals.
• Design, program, test, and commission control systems.
• Convert legacy PLC programs and develop PLC/HMI apps.
• Provide technical support to sales and field teams.
• Train technicians and customers on maintenance and operation.
