Job summary

Comfort Systems USA is seeking a Building Information Modeling (BIM) Technician to support construction and engineering teams with advanced 3D modeling. You will create and maintain accurate BIM models and coordinate multidisciplinary data. This position allows for remote work or can be done from the Lexington, KY HQ or Greenville, SC office. Strong proficiency in BIM tools and excellent communication skills are required for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in BIM software such as Revit, Evolve, ACC, Solidworks, or Navisworks.
• Ability to create detailed 2D drawings from 3D models.
• Sound understanding of construction methods and terminology, building codes, and industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Creating and updating detailed 3D models of electrical systems using BIM software.
• Integrating design information from various disciplines into the 3D model.
• Identifying and resolving spatial conflicts between different building components.
• Generating drawings, schedules, and visualizations to support construction.

Skills

Proficiency in BIM software (Revit, Evolve, ACC, Solidworks, or Navisworks)

Ability to create detailed 2D drawings from 3D models

Understanding of construction methods and terminology

Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Attention to detail

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Ability to create/modify basic Revit families

Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
