Job summary

Southwire Company, LLC is seeking an Electrical BIM Modeler to create and maintain 3D BIM models, collaborating with engineers and contractors to ensure accuracy and compliance with project requirements. The role focuses on sizing and routing raceways and wires for electrical systems using BIM/VDC knowledge.

The successful candidate will utilize Southwire’s technology tools and industry-standard BIM software to deliver precise installation drawings, resolve conflicts, and support project

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree required for electrical modeling/design.

Responsibilities

Proficiency with Autodesk collaboration tools, including Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC).
Produce wire routing layout and wire BOMs for efficient installation.
Read and analyze MEP drawings, specifications, and submittals.
Ensure models meet project requirements and resolve design conflicts.
Apply BIM/VDC concepts to size and specify raceway and wiring routing.
